Specialty Boats

C-Dory
Fluid Marine, LLC acquired C-Dory in May 2008 and continues to build upon the success of the C-Dory design. The first C-Dory, a 22' X 7'6" "Flat Bottom" was introduced in late 1979 at the Seattle Sportsman Show. The immediate success of C-Dory's original 22' model led to the development of the line into what it is today. Fluid Marine also builds Skagit Orca and TomCat boats

While many companies in the inland US offer boats that emphasize simplistic speed, or luxury craft that are complex and expensive to own and operate, we've broken the mold: we specialize in boats that are practical, rugged, straightforward, fun, and easy to enjoy. If you are looking for that trustworthy vessel for fishing or recreational voyages that is dependable, and towable, yet has the amenities and creature comforts you appreciate, we have just the right boat for you.

Ranger Tugs: An American Classic at her Best!
Ranger Tugs was started in 1958 based on a philosophy of quality and 'doing things right' and the reputation we earned continues today. Founder Dave Livingston is creator of thousands of models for various manufacturers, and can boast that more people have owned a boat that he built than any other designer in the world. Ranger concentrates on one model at a time from ideation through in-house design, testing, and manufacturing. Their sales effort is lead by Jeff Messmer who has an impressive history in sales and customer service. Ranger boats are put together by some of the most experienced boatbuilders in the Northwest. With an average of 15+ years in the business, the Ranger staff works hard to ensure that when you're in one of our boats, you'll have fun on the water.

About the manufacture

Mainship Corporation was formed in 1977 and soon outgrew the existing facilities. A new plant was built in Marlboro, NJ and was home to Mainship until 1992 when it was moved to St. Augustine, FL. Over 1200 of the traditionally styled cruisers were built before Mainship began building a European inspired line of cruisers in 1988. The new boat line did well for several years, but MainshipÕs real destiny was to return to the trawlers that made them famous. In 1994, the first new Trawler, a 35 sedan was introduced and the market accepted the new breed with enthusiasm.

Today, Mainship Corporation is the leading manufacturer of production trawlers building 6 different models with many more on the drawing boards. Production is split between the St. Augustine facility it shares with the reacquired Luhrs Corporation and a new facility in Salibury, MD.

Today, Mainship, along with its sister companies in the Luhrs Marine Group, is an employee ownership company. This means that all employees want to share in the success of creating value and satisfaction for all the Mainship owners for years to come.
